Land Acknowledgements

I am grateful to the Indigenous people of Canada, whose land I hike on. Colonialism is on-going and Indigenous people continue to fight for their ancestral territories, some of which is unceded. Not far from the Southern Terminus, activists occupy 1492 Landback Lane

Using Native Land, I will recognize the nations on whose land I spend time on this journey, to the best of my ability. I want to find a better way to honor them but I want to think about this and be very intentional about it.
